Liftgate Services

If you have a heavy load to transport, a lift gate can help ensure a smooth loading and unloading process. Lift gates are sturdy, reliable, slip-resistant, and easily stowed for travel. Many of our trucks at Super K Express are equipped with these additions to accommodate our customers’ needs. There are three common types of lift gates: Tuck-Under, Cantilever, and Rail-Lift.

The Tuck-Under is a popular lift gate because it stows out of the way and does not hinder opening the doors or backing into a loading dock.

The Cantilever is a larger lift gate with controls to help keep cargo level throughout the loading or unloading process. They can accommodate palettes and rolling carts without slipping. Cantilevers utilize a remote control system to open them like a drawbridge.

The Rail-Lift is a level and sturdy lift gate that is ideal for loading or unloading heavy items even in fairly tight spaces. The only drawback of the Rail-Lift is that it can block the doors from being opened when not lowered for use.

Each type of lift gate has different benefits to consider. For example, if you need a lift gate that stays completely flat, a Rail-Lift gate would be a better choice than the Tuck-Under. The Tuck-Under has a slight tilt that can be helpful for rolling things on and off if that is needed. There are different weight capacities with each lift gate as well. The first thing for me is respect. If you are respected, it makes it easier to come to work. Everybody here is called by their first name. They know who you are. I know who they are. I guess the second most important thing is salary. You know, I make a good living here.

You know, they're just great folks to work for. Well, the pays got a lot better and we got insurance and, you know, benefits and you get paid for everything. You do. You know, my mother got sick January 4th. I've been off since January 4th, dealing with her. She passed a couple of weeks ago. I don't know of another company you could work for that would do that for you. And that's not the first time they've done that for me.
